3 nights, 2 days. Minimum 4 people.
During these days you will be initiated into the construction of
stone walls that are built against the hill, an old practice quite
widespread in the Livradois. You will work with the stone carver
Philippe MARPILLAT (who speaks English) who is also a specialist
in stone construction.

In the afternoons you will visit the old stone carvers’
mines, with Benoît GODARD as guide (speaks English –
is an official guide and knows much of the construction traditions
of the Livradois). You will also have the opportunity to follow
the Hiking Trail of the Carved Stones, that will take you to the
workshop of the stone carver Philippe MARPILLAT.
Programme:
Day 1 : 
afternoon: arrival, installation in your room, discovery of the
environment or a small hike
18h30: aperitif, discussion and details of the weekend
19h30 : dinner
Day 2 :
07h30 : breakfast
08h30 : initiation and working on the stonewalls against a hill,
together with the stone carver Philippe Marpillat. Coffee or tea
break around 10h30.
13h00 : lunch
15h00 : accompanied hike to the old stone carvers’ mines with
Benoît GODARD [1].
18h30 : aperitif
19h30 : dinner
Day 3:
07h30 : breakfast
08h30: continuation of the work on stonewalls with Philippe MARPILLAT.
Break around 10h30.
13h00 : lunch
15h00: « The Hike of the Carved Stones » (non-accompanied,
signposted and with description) which will take you to old ruins
and the workshop of Philippe MARPILLAT.
18h30: aperitif
19h30: dinner
Day 4 :
before 10 o’clock : breakfast
during the morning : departure
Price:
250 € per person for 4 persons, in double rooms; 225 €
per person for 6 persons, in double rooms.
This price includes full board, professional guidance (the stone
carver during the two mornings, the mountain guide one afternoon).
This price does not include drinks other than those mentioned, transport
and personal expenses.
