What would you think of an outdoor breakfast in summer or springtime,
listening to the birds’ morning song. After that, you take
a walk to meet the horse, the donkeys, the sheep, goats and the
geese, in the company of the peacocks that will follow you. Or you
could observe the home of the badger on the domain itself. In winter you will stand a good chance of making a walk in the snow, followed by a hot chocolate or hot spicy wine in the guesthouse with nearby comfort of the woodstove. Our rooms are comfortable with each their own private bathroom. Absolute silence in the rooms is guaranteed. The bleu room and the zebra room are sharing the second floor of the Auberge, with a small sitting lounge at the same floor. The bleu room has a double bed and a single bed, the zebra room has two single beds. The terrace room, our biggest room is in another building just next to the guesthouse. It has its own private terrace with an unforgettable view over the volcano chain of the Auvergne. This room is accessible for people in wheelchairs. It is build following ecological principles. The insulation for example has been done with hemp and chalk. It has two single beds plus two futons which can be transformed into beds. From the beginning of July 2006 our fourth room is ready, the so-called Nepal room. It is situated on top of the terrace room, has a double bed plus three single beds on the mezzanine. From the window you will have our nicest view over the Auvergne volcanoes. This ecological room has been renovated totally with natural materials, such as hemp, chalk, sawdust, straw, and loam.
At this moment the guesthouse has a capacity to comfortably accommodate 16 persons in the four rooms available. We are still busy creating other rooms in other buildings of the old farm. Also a small campsite will be added. All these will be built more and more according to ecological principles.

Guesthouse Auberge Les Liards is offering bed and breakfast (B&B), rooms, half board (half pension) or, occasionally, full board (full pension). You can also have dinner at our place even if you do not opt for half board. We serve mainly organic meals, with locally produced ingredients. We are happy to cater for vegetarians and vegans. Dinner on wednesday in the guesthouse is always vegetarian, please tell us about your wishes for the other days. In the restaurant in July and August there are always vegetarian meals.
You can have a choice between being lodged in ecological rooms or in standard rooms, but with all you are assured to be comfortable and quiet. All of them have their private bathroom.
Children are welcome, we have accessibility for disabled people and wheelchairs and animals are welcome as well (even horses). We are close to the A75, to Clermont Ferrand, the Puy de Dôme and Issoire, in the Natural Regional Parc of the Livradois Forez, in the part that is called Toscane d'Auvergne.
